The Komatsu PC290 Series Excavator has an auto-idle shutdown that automatically shuts the engine down after idling for a period of time. This helps to reduce unnecessary fuel usage and exhaust emissions while saving owners money. Operators can preset and program the engine shutdown from 5 to 60 minutes. This saves up to 5% in fuel consumption. An operator identification ID can be set up for each operator. This allows the management of operation information using KOMTRAX data.
