The Hitachi ZX330 Excavator has an innovative Machine Information Center that is changing the game. The Machine Information Center collects and records important machine performance data like engine speeds, pump pressures, alarms and faults, hydraulic temperatures, hours of operation, and informs operators of potential hazards with the excavator. Operators are also able to download the data through a Palm Pilot and can also transfer the information to a PC. There is a special PC software that can interpret the data and generate performance reports and graphs that will highlight the excavator’s utilization, performance history, and production information.
