Caterpillar 973 Crawler Loader
The Cat 973 was introduced in 1982, and featured a 3306 direct injection turbocharged, six-cylinder engine producing 210 flywheel horsepower (FWHP) with a hydrostatic transmission. It came standard with an electronic monitoring system, sealed and lubricated tracks, an oscillating undercarriage, and a Z-bar linkage. In 1999, it was replaced by the Caterpillar 973C crawler loader, increasing horsepower to 230 FWHP. The 973D followed, adding 10% more horsepower than C-series, better fuel efficiency and reduced wear, working at the point of combustion to optimize engine performance and provide low exhaust emissions. Compared to the 973D, the 973K offers a more fuel efficient Cat® C9.3 ACERT™ engine and Eco Mode combine to give you a 10-25 percent reduction in fuel use. The oscillating undercarriage decreases ground shock for increased stability and smoother ride. Heavy Duty track standard for aggressive applications like land clearing, side-slopes or rocky terrain.

We supply a variety of arrangements when it comes to your machine’s track shoes that have been designed and tested for your specific application. All of our track pads come either with a single, double or triple grouser setup. You also have the option of with or without mud-holes, standard or extreme service, along with various widths.
