Caterpillar 215 Excavator
The Caterpillar 215 was originally manufactured in Belgium only, with USA production starting in 1981. The 215 has a Cat 3304 engine producing 85 flywheel horsepower (FWHP). It comes standard with a variable flow hydraulic system and pilot-operated controls. In 1984 the 215B was introduced, coming standard with a Cat 3304 direct injection, turbocharged engine producing 105 flywheel horsepower (FWHP), along with other improvements, like a larger boom and bucket cylinders, heavier counterweight, greater travel circuit pressures, thicker stick and boom plates, reinforced main frame rails, a larger boom to stick pin, and increased implement pressure and digging forces. It also has a long track. In 1992, the 215D was introduced, featuring 115 FWHP and increased productivity from its predecessor. With regular undercarriage care & maintenance, these 215 crawler excavators continue to tackle both large and small applications to this day. We supply a variety of arrangements when it comes to your machine’s track shoes that have been designed and tested for your specific application. All of our track pads come either with a single, double or triple grouser setup. You also have the option of with or without mud-holes, standard or extreme service, along with various widths.
