Like all the Link-Belt generations before it, the LS5800C2 has a beefier undercarriage that adds strength to the excavator frame while at the same time making it easier to keep clean with the new redesign of the side frames. The cylinder mounts are built stronger to reduce stress to the boom foot, boom tip, and arm tip. They are now a cast design to reduce weld points and provide much greater strength. The Link-Belt LS5800C2 Excavator utilizes a one-piece, reinforced turntable bearing tub design that extends all the way
through the body of the excavator.
