The Caterpillar E120 hydraulic excavator began production in 1987 until it was replaced by the Cat E120B in 1989. The E120B has a Cat 3114 or Mitsubishi S4K turbocharged engine producing 84 flywheel horsepower (FWHP). It comes standard with a variable flow hydraulic system with a power and work mode choice, pilot activated control, straight-line travel, two-speed travel, sealed Cat undercarriage, and a modified X-shaped carbody.
