The Cat 211 was introduced in 1984 and manufactured in Germany. It comes standard with a variable flow hydraulic system, pilot-operated controls, and a long undercarriage track. In 1990, it was replaced by the 211B, which has a Cat 3114 turbocharged engine producing 105 flywheel horsepower (FWHP). It comes standard with a load-sensing hydraulic system, moving undercarriage, and new single main pump. It also has increased lift capacity, digging depth, and reach, created by higher stick and bucket forces.
